VGTV is gearing up for increased video inventory

Viaplay Group and VG have entered into a long-term, strategic sports collaboration. The collaboration means that VG gets exclusive rights to show clips from Viaplay Group's sports broadcasts. Viaplay Group will take over the rights to the Premier League from next season. They also have the rights to, among other things, winter sports, the Bundesliga, Formula 1 and handball.

This will mean that Schibsted's customers will have more access to video ads in a market characterized by a precarious shortage of inventory. ”Says Christian Haneborg, Head of Marketing Services Norway.

The live broadcasts from the events will be shown on Viaplay Group's channels, while clips and summaries from the broadcasts will be published on VGTV.

“We are very much looking forward to this collaboration! VGTV viewers will have access to a sought-after sports offer, and the events will have even greater coverage. This will create a huge video inventory that the market has long demanded, and potentially create even greater coverage for our advertisers. At the same time, it will open up more commercial opportunities as sponsorships. ” says Elnaz Esmailzadeh, Head of Product & Concept at Schibsted Marketing Services.
